"There," said Zo-e, pressing one last button. Tam's cloak was beginning to fade, as was Zo-e's.

"And just in time too. Come on, let's get out of here." Zo-e got up and away from the computer when dragging footsteps were heard. She looked at Tam and clenched her teeth together.

Tam was, for once, completely quiet.
She said nothing, grabbed Zo-e's arm and dragged her into a corner.
With the darkness of Zim's lab and the still half-cloaked... cloaks, she hoped that they'd be able to get away unnoticed.

The lazy footsteps came closer, and the slouch turned straight.

It was Zim.

"WHO DARES," he yawned. "COME TO THE LAB OF ZIM?!"

"Oh crap!" Zo-e mouthed.

Tam jumped and saw Zim standing in the middle of the lab, looking around.

She looked at the door where he came from, but it was at the other end of the room. Getting there would mean disctracting Zim, and distracting Zim would mean... making noise.

Then, an idea popped in her head and she started searching her pockets. Ignoring the questioning looks Zo-e gave her, she found some earth monies, and threw it across the room.

When Zim was distracted, Tam and Zo-e ran around the corner quietly, only to find out it was.... a dead end. Great. ''s***'' She cursed under her breath.

This would've been the perfect moment to make a remark. Like ''oh, that's great'' or ''we're dead. get it...? DEAD end..?'' Um..... yeah... maybe not.

Oh, right, back to the story.

Without warning, Tam activated her spiderlegs, lifted Zo-e up and hung onto the ceiling, between the wires and steel cables, just at the moment Zim came out the lab and looked around suspiciously.

Their cloaks faded and they were fully visible now. Ah well, s*** happens.

"WHO? WHAT?!" yelled Zim. "TRESPASSERS! TRRRRRRRRRREEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSPPAAAAAAAAASSSSSSSSEEEEEEERRRRRRRSSSSSSSS!!!"

"s***!" Zo-e cursed under her breath. "I think he found out, Tam!" she whispered to Tam ever so quietly.

''I know!'' She wispered back, quietly as well.
She was hanging upside down in a very unpleasant position. But the little button thingy on her chest slowly started to slip and fall.
She tried to grab it, but too late. ''Dammit'' She mouthed.

They both fell on the floor with a loud thump. Zim turned around quickly and saw them both. "Y-Y-YOU! BOTH OF YOU ARE TRESPASSING IN THE HOUSE OF ZI- hey wait do I know you from somewhere?" he suddenly said pointing to them.

"You... are TAM!" he yelled. He pointed to Zo-e. "AND YOU... ARE... ZO-E!" he said.

Zo-e was making strange faces and clenching her claws together. She was struggling to do... something...

"What's wrong with her?" Zim asked Tam, pointing to Zo-e.

''Nothing!'' Tam yelled.

She got up, tackled Zim and held him to the floor.

''C'mon, Zo. Now's a good time to do the memory thingy!'' She said to Zo-e

"WHAT DO YOU THINK I'M TRYING TO DO?!" she yelled, staring down Zim. "I-it's not working!" she said, closing her eyes tight and opening them again.

Tam struggled, trying to keep Zim down.

''Okay, plan B...'' She said.

She smacked him hard in the back of the head, knocking him unconcious. ''Ouch...'' She shook her hand in pain.

''And now just hope he forgets....'' She said, nervously looking around.

"That looked painful," Zo-e said, looking at Zim. "For you and him." she looked at Tam.

"But what the hell happened? Why couldn't I-" her eyes suddenly shined.

"Oh what the hell, that's convenient!"

''Guess you gotta learn how to contro-'' She stopped mid-sentence and stared at Zo-e.

"What? What happened?" She waved a hand in front of Tam. "Oh f***."

Tam blinked and shook her head. ''Be quiet Zo-e, befo-'' She whispered, but stopped in mid-sentence again.
She looked down at Zim lying on the ground unconcious, then looked up at Zo-e again.

''Um... Did I miss something?'' She asked, confused.

Zo-e narrowed her eyes at Tam. "Yeeeeah... you could say that. Now let's get out of here, we have the information already!" she grabbed Tam by the arm and pulled her.

''Oookaaay...'' She followed Zo-e outside.

Zo-e stretched her wings. Tam held on and they flew off, just in time too, as Zim was waking up. He sat up and rubbed his head.

"Aaa! What happened?!" he stood up quickly. "I don't remember anything!" He clenched his claws together. He gasped and yelled, "GIR!"

But we were too far away to know what happened next. Aww.

''Soooo... What was goin' on back there?'' She asked, while they were flying towards their base.

Her wings flapped. "You don't remember?" she said nervously. "We fell, Zim found us, we knocked him out. I thought you knew, you were right there," she said confused.

Tam thought for a moment. ''I dunno, I just remember getting inside Zim's base... and then nothing.''
''You did the memory thingy, didn't you?'' She said, grinning.

They landed. Zo-e sighed. "It was an accident!" she said. "I tried doing it to Zim, and then you knocked him out, and it finally worked, but it happened when I looked at you. It was so damn inconvenient."

''Hey it's okay, don't worry.'' Tam said, smiling. ''You just gotta learn to control it.''

"This is stupid though," Zo-e said. "If I was born with it then why can't I control it? It's stupid."

''Maybe because you didn't know?'' Tam wondered, walking inside the base.
''I mean, think about it. How can you learn to control something if you don't even know you have it?''

Zo-e walked in as well, plugging the device into the computer and sitting in the chair. "Well, y'know, in those movies they always know how to use it, even though they didn't know about it."
